When Tala opened her eyes...

There was nothing.

No sounds.

No alarms.

No Metal Corridors.

And no Project 27.

Only an endless whiteness.

She felt a heaviness in her head.

And her heartbeat echoing inside her ears.

She tried to get up.

Then she fell to her knees.

Where was she?

And what had happened after the explosion?

She raised her head slowly.

Then she froze.

In the far distance...

A girl was standing there.

The same height.

The same features.

The same eyes.

The twin.

Tala kept staring at her.

While the other looked at her in silence.

No fear.

No surprise.

As if she had been waiting for this moment for years.

At last, Tala said:

"Where are we?"

The twin gave a small smile.

Then she said:

"In the place where everything began."

She frowned.

"What place?"

But the twin did not answer.

She just turned slowly.

And she began to walk.

Tala felt she had no choice.

So she followed her.

The farther they went...

The whiteness began to fade.

Little by little.

Until the ground appeared.

Then the walls.

Then the corridors.

Long corridors.

Like the old Facility.

But older.

And larger.

And darker.

The twin stopped in front of a huge metal door.

It bore only a single number.

27

Tala felt a chill.

She reached out her hand toward the door.

But the twin seized her wrist.

"Before you open it..."

she whispered.

"There is something you must know."

Tala's breathing quickened.

"What?"

Silence fell for a moment.

Then the twin said:

"Everything you knew about our family was a lie."

She froze.

But the real shock had not yet come.

Because the twin went on:

"Even your mother."

Tala's face went pale.

"No..."

"Even your mother was not here by chance."

Her hand trembled.

"What do you mean?"

The twin lowered her head.

Then she said quietly:

"She was working with them."

Tala's breath caught.

As if the whole world had collapsed again.

And worse...

The twin did not look as though she was lying.

And at that same moment...

A sound came from behind the door.

A woman's voice.

A voice she knew well.

A voice she thought she would never hear again.

Her mother's voice.

And it said:

"If you two have made it here..."

"It is too late to stop the Project."

And Tala froze where she stood. 🖤🔥
